Well, there has been lots happening in my part of the world. First, I moved to Terre Haute, IN to pursue a Master's degree in ecology. Terre Haute is one of the shittiest places I have ever been or lived. It's dirty and has a particular odor to it, a bad odor at that. Another problem is all the homeless folks wandering aimlessly from dumpster to dumpster in the search of aluminum cans and any other scrap metal. The crazy part is that all these people operate on bicycles, some BMX!! It's pretty wild seeing a guy on a BMX, chicago bars to the max, with a trash bag full of beer cans resting on top of the handlebars. But, the people around here are deperate and will steal anything if left unattended. Also, there are the crows. Every fall/winter thousands upon thousands of crows seek shelter at Terre Haute. I have no reason why. Maybe it's the smell. At dawn and dusk the sky is filled with these birds and shit on everything in their path. I have never seen anything quite like this. As of now, my days are numbered here. I have decided not to continue going to school here and will just finish out this semester. I am still figuring out what my next move is. I do want to continue my education, just not in Terre Haute. My decision has left me with some free-time and I have used it (wisely) to ride my BMX. These last few days have been packed full of riding the streets around town. It made me feel care-free like a kid again. That's all for now.
